Jeff
Kauffman
Founder
Jeff Kauffman grew up in the small town of Monroe, Oregon, home to just 600 people. Graduating from a high school class of only 38, Jeff went on to study sociology in college, driven by a desire to understand people and improve lives.
Jeff began his career working with adolescents, finding fulfillment in making a difference in young lives. However, he felt a call to expand his impact, which led him to senior housing. Over the past 20 years, he has served in various roles, becoming a licensed director in Oregon, Washington, California, and Texas. For a decade, Jeff owned and operated his own assisted living and memory care community, focusing on providing compassionate care for seniors and their families.
His work became even more personal as he assisted several of his own family members in finding senior housing when the time came. This experience gave Jeff a deeper understanding of the emotions and challenges families face during this process—something he carries into every family he helps.
Jeff’s favorite part of his work is guiding families through one of life’s most challenging decisions. He takes pride in educating, supporting, and empowering families to find the right senior housing solutions. Jeff finds it deeply rewarding when families express their gratitude for the guidance he provided, helping them find peace and confidence in their choices.
Now, Jeff and his wife, Ashley, own a senior referral business, Right Direction Senior Living Solutions. Together, they are dedicated to helping families find the right direction, putting their hearts into every decision. Their mission is family helping families, and they look forward to many more years of guiding others through this journey.
Outside of work, Jeff cherishes family time. He enjoys coaching his son’s baseball team, assisting with his basketball games, and watching his young daughter grow and learn.
Ashley
Kauffman
Co-Founder
Ashley Kauffman brings a unique blend of personal experience, professional expertise, and heartfelt compassion to her role at Right Direction Senior Living Solutions. Born in Iowa, Ashley’s journey has taken her across the globe, fostering her adaptability and passion for helping others.
Growing up, Ashley lived in Indiana, Tennessee, and the northern suburbs of Chicago. Her love of sports, particularly volleyball, led her to play competitively from middle school through high school. Beyond athletics, Ashley’s participation in service-oriented programs like Best Buddies and PALS ignited her lifelong dedication to supporting others.
Ashley’s educational journey included a transformative semester abroad in Sydney, Australia, and she graduated from Indiana University with a broadened perspective and love for cultural experiences. After college, she ventured to Melbourne, Australia, where she spent nine enriching years. While she cherished the vibrant culture, beaches, and wildlife, Ashley ultimately returned to the U.S. to be closer to family. After two years in Tampa, Florida, she and her husband, Jeff, settled in Dallas, Texas, where they now raise their two children and care for their beloved dog.
With a strong background in sales and marketing, Ashley was well-prepared to join Jeff in building Right Direction Senior Living Solutions. Her personal experiences assisting family members through the challenges of senior care inspired her to make a difference for others facing similar circumstances. Over the past year, Ashley has become deeply committed to supporting families, bringing both her professional skills and personal empathy to the business.
At Right Direction Senior Living Solutions, Ashley plays a pivotal role in streamlining processes for families and managing the operational aspects of the company. Her focus is on creating a seamless and stress-free experience for clients, ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Ashley is a devoted mom who cherishes family time. She loves watching her son excel in sports, witnessing her daughter’s growth and milestones, and creating lasting memories with her family.
